I am quite happy with the tyres, though I do not think it is quite possible to do any proper "evaluation" on the tyres as with this COVID lockdow we have reduced our travel 10x at least - working from home, this means no daily 50 miles + shopping (I would make 220 -250 miles in a week in real life circumstances). If lockdowns continue, this lot will last me 5 years I think :-) In fairness, I was on bad roads and in adverse weather conditions during winter, and they perform well.

Very slight issue, and it may be nothing to do with the tyres (on a CRV), but in certain road gradients when starting off from a junction that has a slight camber, the tyres judder and struggle to find their grip initially I haven't experienced this on other tyres on the CRV, just noticeable on this set. Otherwise they're doing a reasanble job and have confidence in them in most road conditions, but they are on a CRV so I'm not pushing them too hard.

Good mid range tyre and great price. Quite a hard composite which is great for durability but means you feel bumps in the road a lot more. Grip in wet and dry is pretty good especially since it isn't a soft compound. Overall a great tyre for any entry level sports cars.

These are a budget tyre, and as such they perform well. Wet grip has been tested quite a lot recently, and so far I've not had any issues. Overall, I am pleased with the tyres, but they are quite a bit noisier than the Michelins that were fitted previously. It is no supprise that they can't compete with the Michelins, but they cost more than twice as much. My annual mileage is only around 4-5k miles a year and tyres tend to perish long before they are worn out.

I drive around 15000 miles pa, these tyres are amazing value. The economy and performance ratings of the tyres lives up to their reputation. The most noticeable aspect is how quiet they are. A short motorway stretch home from the garage was noticeably more quiet than the drive there. I’ll need another pair for the rear soon and there is no doubt as to what I’ll be after!

I would have them again, I normally have falken, toyo, vrendrastien out of them vrendrastien are best in my opinion and toyo, falken, sumimoto are all Japanese tyre and perform very similar on wear and performance.

I only travel about 6000 miles per year so the tyres do not have any significant wear so far. Overall I am very pleased with them in all weathers. The road noise is a distraction, but not a serious problem. I make the journey to France 4 or 5 times a year so the long journey is a good test and I am happy with that. I think it will be a long time before I need to renew these tyres.

My car (Skoda Citigo) has an accurate fuel consumption gauge. When new the car had budget tyres fitted and I was getting around 58 MPG on long runs. With these mid-priced Sumitomo tyres I am getting 61 - 64 MPG under the same conditions, yet the tyres cost only a few pounds more.
